Washington DC- This was such a precious in-studio newborn session! I loved this little baby’s simple white onesie.

Okay, let’s talk about how much this mama looks like the actress Shailene Woodley! (If you need your memory piqued, she was the single mother in Big Little Lies.) I mean, these two are truly each others doppelgängers. Crazy!

Back to the session, though– I adored this baby and their cute little dimple. Their sleepy smiles all throughout this in-studio newborn session were seriously melting my heart. The blanket used in this session is from Ziggy Lou.

Newborn sessions with brand new parents are always so special to photograph. I’ve said it before, but snapping these little moments of a new family-of-three is a part of my job I am so grateful for. And for a new mama, it’s so nice to be able to take time for yourself and pamper yourself! It can be such a blur in those early days of parenting, so having a newborn session is an incredible time capsule.
