Northern VA Newborn Photography- I had so much fun with this family to welcome their new little boy! I worked with them to photograph big brother as a newborn and all throughout his first year. It was amazing to see them back in my studio again! 

Working with siblings can seem like it would be a gamble, but the way older siblings are with their newborn little siblings is always so sweet. This big brother was gentle and attentive, wanting to cuddle and hold him tight. Their special moments together were just incredible. Fun fact, this precious little one was almost ten pounds at birth! 

Both mom and big brother are dressed in pieces from my studio wardrobe. Mom’s look came together with stunning makeup by the wonderful Sue Minskey. It is such a treat for moms to pamper themselves, and getting your makeup done is so special. With a newborn and toddler, things can get chaotic to say the least! It’s wonderful to be able to relax and take extra special care of yourself when you’re able. 

The light from the windows of my studio always creates the most gorgeous and calming atmosphere– perfect for sleepy newborns. I’ve talked about how much I love my new studio space, and the window seats are one of those reasons! The wooden beams and trim bring such stunning natural elements to the photos. I love how it pairs perfectly with the styling of this session.
