Northern VA Photographer– Another one-year milestone session! I had worked with this little one for a while since her family was a part of the full first year Collective Membership. I was so happy to see them in the studio again! Her six-month session was a favorite of mine, so I knew I just had to share her one-year milestone, too!

Some kids are just a little shy, and that is totally okay! It’s so natural to have a little bit of apprehension and stranger danger, even after working together for a few sessions. I know that children aren’t always going to be super comfortable in front of the camera, so you don’t have to stress about that. I promise you, we will still capture incredible moments! 

There are a couple of shots that capture the realities of one-year-olds! Throwing a little bit of a tantrum with some tears is so common. Mom loved these images since they are so indicative of her age. Memories and moments are worth cherishing, no matter what. Even if kids are shy or cautious, we still capture plenty of smiles! Your little one will get warmed up in no time since I keep sessions relaxed and play-based. This little one especially loved the collection of studio toys.

This family is featured on the gallery wall in my studio. Having images in a gallery wall that cover an entire year of your little one’s life is an irreplaceable gift. Story walls are a beautiful way to document your lives together, of course, but they’re also a way to decorate your home while incorporating your family into it!
