Studio Maternity Portrait Session | Northern Virginia Maternity Photographer

This mother-to-be contacted me to book both a maternity and newborn session. You can view their baby’s newborn session HERE! She chose to have her portraits taken in my residential studio located in Gainesville. When scheduling a maternity session it’s helpful to plan ahead and contact me as soon as possible. I tend to schedule these sessions between 32-36 weeks to ensure your bump has a nice round shape but we aren’t too close to your due date.

When she arrived she brought a blue dress from Motherhood Maternity. She also opted to look through my studio wardrobe selection. I hand-choose every piece of clothing in my studio myself! I love picking timeless, flattering pieces to flatter every kind of mom. She chose two dresses from my collection and they both look amazing on her!

We included some family and couple’s portraits with her session. I just love the fun, black and white family photo of their oldest son holding his toy car! I strive to capture natural expressions in photos by helping clients interact and giving them fun cues. After their maternity session I was so anxious to meet their second little bundle of joy!
