This maternity model session from mine and Bethney Backhaus’s Simple and Pure Newborn Worksop in 2021 was a blast! 

On the first night of any workshop, Bethney and I always like to have something for everyone to do to get us all acquainted and comfortable. Typically that looks like a fun photoshoot before going out to dinner and just getting to know each other! This workshop from October was no different, and it was a wonderful way to meet everyone.

We started this maternity model session at the house before we made our way to the beach. Alice Thigpen hosted the retreat in a beach house on 30A in Watersound West, and the entire evening was absolutely perfect!

This beautiful mama used pieces from the studio wardrobe for the session. Each dress she wore was stunning, and as I’ve said before, I love making my clients feel their absolute best for their session! For more of a lifestyle maternity session, it’s important to have different locations and settings. We want clients to feel their interactions are natural and not super staged!
