This weekend we took a quick trip back to Savannah, GA to attend the baptism of a special little lady (more to come about that tomorrow). Last spring (””08 – before we knew we””d be adding to the family so soon), we had a family portrait taken by our wedding photographer and great friend –  Christine Hall – I still get wonderful compliments of the 24×30 canvas print hanging in our hallway. I told her I owed her huge and as a photographer, I know how hard it is to get pictures of your own kids. Chrissy takes amazing pictures of her daughter, but there is something about having a different perspective and being able to get those genuine smiles out of your kids without also having to snap the camera button! 

So we planned for Saturday morning – She called saying she was nervous … which was funny b/c I was the one that was nervous!! Shooting for a photographer is probably the most nerve wracking for so many reasons — and for someone that was just voted “Best Photographer” in Savannah Magazine for the 3rd year running — OH BOY!!! Luckily – as always with her own sessions – she put me right at ease and we just hung out and laughed a lot. 

I just *heart* her 🙂
